Play Song: Action Over Words

Now it's time to play through our song with the band. I highly encourage you to just watch and listen a few times before you start playing along yourself.

I hope you've had a lot of fun learning the classic blues riff, and I really hope you've taken my advice on not getting too hung up on all these definitions. Outside of the world of classical music, so much of the music we have was made by people who weren't schooled in a traditional way, so rule-breaking and non-conformity is a part of the design.

Then add to that a bunch of other non-schooled guitar players and teachers talking about that music and you can see how the language can end up getting confusing and inconsistent. But just remember to always come back to the sound, rather than getting caught up in pointless definitions and you'll be fine.

hi, can the notation be selectable to be on fullscreen with auto scrolling especially for the full song practise? I'm having a little problem reading the notes.

Hello - thanks so much for your question. The notation has a popup mode, but unfortunately, the auto-scroll is disabled. The only other thing to try is to see if your computer has any zoom in and zoom out controls in their operating systems that can enlarge the screen on your monitor. I can do this on my MacBook using the apple-+ or apple-- controls.

I really enjoy these jam sessions . But basically imo would be better without the vocals so can hear and focus on the instruments and rhythm better . At least for these beginner classes . Just my opinion .
