Learning The F Chord
First let's break down and practice our easier F chord.
Locate the 3rd fret of the D string, then place your ring finger in that fret. Next locate the 2nd fret of the G string, then place your middle finger in that fret. Locate the 1st fret of the B string. Place your index finger in this fret.
These three notes together form an F chord, so everything else we add is a bonus. For the hard version of this chord, people tend to lay down their index finger, so it covers both the B and the E string. But that's quite difficult, so I wouldn't even worry about that yet.
