In this chapter we'll break away from the campfire vibes for a bit and explore some easy examples of the more arena worthy tools and techniques. If you're playing an electric guitar these examples will feel right at home, but they'll work really well on acoustic too. In this first tutorial we're gonna explore the most basic example of what's called a power chord. Power chords are a super useful tool and they're tons of fun to play around with Let's get started!

I just completed chapters 1 2 and 3 of the guitar fundamentals 1. I see chapter 4 is rock and blues riff. Right now I’m mainly looking to learn chords and practice transitions, so I can play songs I know. Is chapter 4 necessary right now, or can I move on to chapter 5 and circle back on chapter 4 if I’m interested in exploring other genres?

Hey there - thanks so much for your question! Yes, absolutely you can move on to chapter 5 if you'd like. I'd still encourage you to at least scan through Chapter 4 just to make sure you're not missing anything important. Hope this helps!!
