Bonus Tip: The Capo
In this lesson I'm going to show you a trick that you can use to make some of the harder chords a little bit easier at first. This trick requires a simple tool called a capo, and please don't panic if you don't have one. They're very cheap and you don't need it in this very moment! Let me show you how the trick works so you can see if you want to get one.
I hope this tutorial has made you feel somewhat comfortable with the D and C major chord. All the chords you've learned up until this point are some of the most commonly used chords on guitar, and in fact they all fit into a little chord family that sound really good together. In fact they sound so good together that many songs have been written with these chords. So even if some of this is difficult right now, remember that you're in the middle learning some of the most useful skills that can be learned on guitar.
