Lesson 2: Basic Slide Technique

First things first; you need to pick a slide you want to use. There are many options available and it truly boils down to what works best for you. I am using a glass slide in these lessons. One of the key things to note is that when working with a slide, the higher the action the better (action meaning how high your strings are off of your fret board.) Having good intonation is key as well and the way to achieve this with a slide is by playing with the slide on top of the fret. This gives you the truest tone of the note on the guitar. With your right hand, you can use either your pick or your fingers. See what works best for you.
