Description
In our first example, we will take a look at a Dominant 7th chord lick in the style of The Meters. This approach is very common in the New Orleans style and is very much associated with the band and region. Based on a one bar clave, this groove is played using an A7 chord with added embellishments. This is a great way to get started playing the "in-between" groove associated with New Orleans.
