Description

In our first example, we are going to take a look at the technique of bending up minor 3rds. This means that we are bending up a step and a half in pitch. While this is quite a bend on the guitar neck, with the help of using multiple fingers this can be done with practice and patience. Used by everyone from Eric Clapton to BB King and beyond, we are going to try a solo blues lick that integrates this style of bending. We will try with a backing track slowly to get the lick down, and than we will play it up to speed with a backing track playing a 12 Bar Blues. Remember to solo as well along with playing the lick we have learned. Let's try it out.
