Description

The term "shredding" typically applies to playing in the styles of rock, metal, or any other genre that welcomes very fast playing. In blues, those notions are thrown out the window and a new way of "shredding" is used that suites the genre much more appropriately. In this example, we are going to learn a blues shred lick using our G minor blues scale. Make sure to take this slowly and work to get it up to speed at whatever speed your are comfortable. Let's get started!
