Description

In this example, we are going to play a very similar lick to our first example, this time outlining the IV chord. We will be outlining the notes of a D7 chord, which is made up of the following chord tones;

root - D

major 3rd - F#

5th - A

minor 7th - C

We are going to take these notes and integrate them into a lick to outline this chord to the listener. Like I mentioned before, we are going to simply play the lick from the previous example, difference being that we are going to play a C note instead of our C# from A7. Let's try it out!
