Single Note Riff

Now let me show you a riff that uses mainly just one note at a time. This kind of riff can easily be perceived as a melody, so it's very important to make sure it doesn't clash with the bass part or the vocal melody- It has to interact with those, not get in the way! In this lesson I'll explain how to go about this, teach you the example and why it works, and finally we'll play through it with the rockin' backing track.
