Les paul guitars are by far my favorites... even thought I'm mainly a bassist... I've played Epiphone LEs paul Standart, and they are really good guitars... Great feel and good intonation from stock...
I don't have a guitar right now so I'd like to sing up for the contest.. thanks

I Received my first electric guitar as a fiftieth birthday present from my wife, { A little late for fame and fortune} She'd listened to me ramble on about Les Paul's for years, though I'd never laid a finger on one. I liked the look and the sound.
She got me a second hand Epiphone LP Standard, blue. Not the gold top I'd been dreaming of.
I cried when I saw it and cried more when I played it, Such a fine sound, weight and balance just right.
After a few months I understood this was not a top quality guitar but, man, it still sounded great. Been playing it for eight years now and you couldn't pry it from my cold dead arms if you tried.

Wow. If I could have one of those, I'd go crazy! I just got into this guitar business within the last year, so I could really use a nice new Les Paul. Sweeet!

I own an Epiphone Les Paul Classic. I swapped the stock pickups for a PAF Joe and a FRED at the bridge. The tone sounds much richer.

One of the few times I think I would actually prefer the less expensive guitar; It just sounds more my playing style. Wish me luck in the drawing!

Congratulations to the winners. I thought for sure I was going to win  . I'm sure you will have a lot of fun with your new guitars. My Epi has been great for the short time that I have owned it.

Thanks to Guitar Tricks for a great give-away and for all the free lessons :D

I hope you enjoy your new gear. If it were me, i wouldnt want to do anything else, but play the new gear for a long while.

As I mentioned in the last newsletter, we received not one but two guitars from Sweetwater.com to kick off our gear review giveaways.

These guitars are both Epiphone Les Paul models that two of our Guitar Tricks members have been thinking about buying.

Mark1237 requested a review of the
Epiphone Les Paul Studio ($329.97)

genkiguitar requested a review of the
Epiphone Les Paul Ultra II ($699.97)

I have been playing with them both for a week now and I am ready to give you my report.

Also, we are going to give them both away to two lucky newsletter readers.

In order to win one of these prizes, you must agree to the contest details and "enter" the contest by posting on this thread by August 7th.
