Nice looking guitars. I have been playing an old classical guitar for ages and would love to win an electric like either of these.

A friend had an original Les Paul I fell in love with, but couldn't afford. later on I picked up a Strat that's great, but I still wanted a L P.
After reading the review on the Epiphone Les Paul Ultra II I'm thinking "Hey, I can afford that, great addition to my Strat and Guilds"
Thanks, keep up the good work and reviews.

I thought the reviews were pretty good. I would've liked just a bit more detail, but it was enough. Now, if I could just figure out how to sign up to win one:D

I have an older epiphone les paul. They are great guitars at that price. You wont find another guitar at the same price that sounds as good. Especially at the sub $500 range. That being said dont expect a real Les Paul at that price. For begginers or just someone on a budget though you cant go wrong.

I don't think you can go far wrong with an epiphone so i would be so keen to see how these two guitars feel in my 'own two hands', espescially the actions.
Oh well, your review's are the next best thing..well written and to the point, thanks.
I like the sound of the studio, i especially like your comment about it being a case of a not so flashy guitar for a simple rock and roller...that's me me down to a tea!
cheers, Bren

this posting biz is pretty new to me.but hey watever it take to win one of those lps. i'll try. just learning to play after 40 years of wishing i could.i finally deside to take this serouis enough to take some lessons. and it looks like I might get it down after all.though still trying to fit it all into a tight budget.I swaped out work for lessons, took pictures of people making cords, and recording live jams on my cell phone.and bout the best thing I'v found sofor is the free lessons on this site. Will be signning up for full member in afew weeks.

Wow! Sweet guitars and great review. I would be happy to play either one. I have always been a strat guy, but have forever chased that Les Paul tone. Would be nice to not have to work so hard to find that tone and just be able to pick up my new LP when I want to.
Thanks again for a thoughtful review of two very pretty guitars.
