I have an ivory Epiphone Les Paul with gold humbucker pick-ups. I bought it about 6 months ago. I own 3 other guitars but this Les Paul is my overwhelming favorite for playability. Very low action and really stays in tune without a lot of fiddling around every time I pick it up.

I may never own a Gibson Les Paul, but I'm happy with the Epiphone. Damn good guitar.

I don't enter contests. . . I just don't. But, WOW, please count me in on this one. Thanks for the review, they're beautiful guitars. If I don't win, I know I'm gonna have to start saving to buy one of these! :)

Both beautiful instruments, but what would you expect from Les Paul?

I have always loved the sound and style of the Les Paul, but alas to own one has always eluded me.
Perhaps now is my time.

I guess out of all, I have just as much chance as the snowball does in that nice warm place.. This is all new to me. I had a guitar given to me at the tender age of 47, just turned it 2 days ago. I guess I opened my mouth once too often about "really wanting to learn".. now I am here, I am learning, and the greatest thing is... I feel like a kid again..

I have heard of the Les Paul guitars, but obviously, have not ever played one.
It would rock my world to even be close to winning one.

I'll be on the site a lot, as I progress in my lessons.

this is a WOW for me. I have never played a les paul, gisbon, epiphone or anything. ive had the same boring strat looking guitar for a year and a half now. It would be such a great experience playing one of these :)

Especially the red and black one :)

A friend of mine let me play his Epiphone Les Paul 'dot' that we put Gibson PAFs in and I could hardly tell the difference in the sound from my Les Paul deluxe. Alas my guitar disappeared from my trunk one day at work, and I have been giving serious consideration to replacing it with an Epiphone because of the price difference.

I would love to try the second model. I''m a bit gun shy of copies, but sounds like it would be a good guitar--low action appeals.

I would like to enter the Epiphone Guitar Giveaway Contest please. I've been playing the guitar for 44 years and have played a few Epi's over the years. I recently looked at and played an Epiphone Dot Studio Semi-Hollow in Worn Brown and still may buy one. What a beautiful guitar. That double cut away, 335 look is hard to beat. I have played Epi's but never owned one but I hope that will soon change when I win the Ultra!

Remembering time for me....

Somewhere..at the end of 2007 year, I've put my eyes on a Epiphone Les Paul...Goth...I've wanted it...unfortunately, I didn't succeed to buy it...I have something now, but I'm dreaming with my eyes wide opened at that end of December when I've felt in love with that guitar...but ..."tough times don't last", and, maybe ...somewhere, in the future...who knows...
