Great reviews after the review. I read them all. I didn't see any negative comments. I like to think and research thoroughly before advancing to purchasing anything, so all the comments are very helpful to me.
I'm like a lot of the other players here....20 year beginner. I'll pick the guitar up and play for a while then put it down for a long time. Why do we do that. I probably could have been a pro by now.
Since I'm on my "play guitar" phase I am considering moving to electric. These sound like fine models to start with. I have also researched the Fender Squire and Epi ES335. I think I like the hollow body electrics a little better. They feel better.
Please enter me in the contest, I agree to the rules.
Thanks
Ken

My nephew has a standard Epi and it is just great. He let me try it once and I now crave an Epi Les Paul. I'm looking forward to trying out one of the Ultra II's because I love my acoustic electric Ovation.

I think either of the two guitars would make a nice second to my Strat, especially the Ultra II model. MORE TOYS!!!! LOL

One of the big differences in guitars now and when I started paying umpteen years ago is the quality of cheap guitars, which is much, much higher now. No excuse for kids these days not to get a guitar and learn how to play.

Been playing an Epi Les Paul Classic Plus for a few years now and still love this guitar.Epiphone Pauls are probably the best you can get in their price range.

I have two Epiphone guitars: a Les Paul Custom Plus Limited Edition; and a Masterbilt EF500RAS acoustic. Both are great guitars. I would like to win the Ultra II to try out the acoustic pickup thingy.

I bought a Fender Squire Strat recently to begin learning how to play. It's the only guitar I've ever had, so I don't have much experience with any others. However, a friend of mine let me play his Les Paul, and I was amazed at how different it was from the Strat. It was much heavier, and didn't fit to my body as well, but it did have a really great tone. I'll be looking closely at these when I decide to step up to a new ax.

I have always wanted to possess a Les Paul. Most reviews I've seen of the Epiphone Les Pauls conclude that you get a lot of guitar for the money. Your reviews also confirm this. I'd be thrilled to win either one of these guitars. I'd be extra thrilled to win the Ultra since I looked long and hard at buying one but never did.
