August Sweetwater Gear Review Giveaway - Epiphone Les Paul x2
For what it's worth, I recently bought a new Epiphone. Not a Les Paul but a Sheraton II. I must admit, I was totally blown away with the level of detail and fine craftsmanship of this guitar. It surpassed everything I picked up, most definitely guitars that cost up to 6 times as much. I would recommend an Epi to anyone that truly understands quality !! :)

Always looking for a way to add to my axe arsenal. I have a Walden acoustic and a Standard Fender Stratocast that I have tricked out with new strings, locking machine heads, Graph Tech string tree and Graph Tech string saddles. This would be a nice addition! Thanks for the review. Please enter me! I agree to the contest rules.

I've heard some good things about the Epi LP Studio - I'm in on the sweepstakes! And agree to the rules..

Now you have my interest up because of the carpal tunnel comment. My strat is a lotof fun but can be a little tough on the wrist for me if I play a long time.

I use to have an Epiphone special II but that was a long time ago. I now have an Ibanez RG120 but would love to go back to my Epi... One day when the misses lets me get one... ;)
And forgot: agreed to the rules...

I've only recently began playing the 6-string (long time bass player), but I must admit that I too, suffer from this affliction. Damn you, Peter Frampton!
So until I receive a financial remedy that allows me to buy the real deal, I'm looking for an alternative more in my price bracket.
I'm definitely going to check out the Ultra II.
Thanks for your review.

I've had my Epiphone Les Paul Standard Gold Top for 13 years now, and it sounds and plays just as good or better than the lower end Gibsons. Gotta love that quality for that price.
Guitar tricks...keep these contests coming...the monthly price is worth it even if for nothing other than the giveaways...but fantastic lessons guys. I'm actually an instructor myself, and I can always find something cool to check out on Guitar Tricks. Thanks for constantly staying ahead of the game!

Sorry. Forgot to mention that, yes, I would not turn down the chance to receive a free guitar and so I fully agree with the contest rules.
And to those of you who are experiencing symptoms of carpal tunnel; look into your shoulder/head alignment on the afflicted side.
I've rehabbed a bunch of people with symptoms who really were just compressing the nerve bundle exiting the neck. Simple fix.

The playability versus the more expensive Les Paul guitars was the first thing I was thinking of and you gave an answer to that. A Les Paul is a guitar most guitarists want to have eventually. In the second review the issue of that 'Carpal Tunnel Thing' is my issue as well. I'm also looking for something smaller for those times I get the twinge of warning pain from playing too much. All in all good to the point reviews and winning one of those would be a happy bonus to go with the good reviews.
And just in case - I agree with the rules of the contest. :)

At 54 I am just learning to play but would love to have one of these, and I agree to the rules!

Being a geek (an older geek) I read a lot before getting my first guitar 3 weeks ago. Most of what I read was all about LP guitars. (it took awhile to get the LP=Les Paul). Currently I have a Strat Squire that I'm learning on (lesson 50 something now). I look forward to being able to play good enough to see what the LP thing is all about in person.
I love the equipment reviews here on GuitarTricks, helps us neophytes a lot. Thanks!

I tried out an Ultra II in a guitar store and was amazed at the tonal variety. The cherry sunburst finish used to be my favorite until I saw the "Midnight Ebony" at the store. Still, a great-sounding guitar.

I was considering the Epiphone Les Paul Ultra II when I bought my first guitar. I live in a rural area and do not have an opportunity to play a lot of guitars for comparison. I like the semi hollow body sound so I ended up getting a Greg Bennet Royale III. I love it so far!

Oh yeah those are sweet. I particularly dig the Ultra II. I could definitely see myself rocking out on that baby.
I soooo agree to the terms of the contest. :D
