Definition for: Treble
A high-pitched tone. Like bass, this term is relative. It's possible to think of the high G, B, and E strings of the guitar to be the "treble" strings, but in some chords the G and D strings have to serve as bass notes. Similarly, in a power chord played on the E, A and D strings, the D string would be classed as a treble note.
