Half time

A rhythmic feel with the accents adjusted to make it seem half the tempo. It splits four beat bars (1 - 2 - 3 - 4 -) into eight beats (1 - & - 2 - & - 3 - & - 4 - &) and changes the accents from the 2 and 4 to the 3 and 7, doubling the gap between them. This allows musicians to change the tempo of a song without affecting the overall time signature.
