A scale is a collection of notes that will work well in a certain context, and it's a great place to start when you want to develop a basic vocabulary with which to improvise - like learning a collection of useful words in a new language. In this lesson I'm going to show you a very useful little pattern of the major scale and demonstrate how it sounds in a rock context.
