Queen...Regardless of where some may want to go regarding Freddie he and the other members were no question the single most talented group that I can imagine. Each member wrote a #1 song, they have more #1 hits than ANYONE and they all played every instrument and were vocal powerhouses as well (save for John Deacon).....crazy talent...Roger taylor was 1 year away from becoming a Dentist and Brian May is now a Dr. of Astrophysics... yea smart and talented...Queen

Led Zeppelin is definitely my choice, but The Allman Brothers Band, Traffic, The Grateful Dead, Jethro Tull and The Who are also great. Led Zep and The Who have two of the best drummers ever in their band

I will not go so far as to say any band is the best ever because I am sure I have never listened to all the music out there but I love how creative and refreshing the band Opeth is. Bet you did not see that coming haha. Mikael is the man.

Even though this is such a ridiculous, subjective, and way too long of a thread, I suppose ill feed more gasoline to the fire; And say that I idolize Opeth, to almost a not-so-healthy state. They have been in my top 5 for like 7+ years.
