Description
In previous blues orchestration tutorials we learned how to play this type of pattern using the open E & B strings. That's fine, of course, for playing in the key of E. But what about playing in other keys?
The answer is to play the same pattern, but use your index finger as a capo!
That way all you have to do is locate the note you want to play "in the key of" on the bottom E string. In this example I am playing at the 5th fret so I am in the key of A. If you move the pattern up 2 frets to the B, then you've got the IV & V chords from an E blues.
