Now let's talk about how to use this one-string major scale for improvisation.
I'm a big fan of music theory, and I think it's incredibly helpful to learn. However, there's so much to cover when you're first starting out, and if you try to tackle it all at once it simply gets overwhelming. This major scale formula is one of the ways you can avoid having to learn some pretty complicated music theory right off the bat. While I hope you'll learn all that some other day, there's no reason you can't construct a major scale using our new formula in the meantime. Some people never learn theory and get by without it just fine! Other's get hooked on understanding all of it, and that's great as well. For now we're just taking it all one step at a time!
