Description
In this tutorial we'll explore the C major scale you already know, but from a whole different angle. Now we'll play it horizontally on one string, which is useful for several reasons. First of all you'll see that you get a very different and more expressive sound when you slide between the notes horizontally like this. It also opens up our view and understanding of the fretboard in a way that the smaller patterns don't do as much. Finally it'll show you visually how to construct a major scale with what we call the major scale formula.
