Introducing Alternating Bass Notes

Description

In this lesson we'll keep it really simple by looking at our open position D major chord and adding the alternating bass to our basic finger picking pattern.

The root-5 bass movement is unaffected by whether this is minor or major. So this pattern is the same for D minor.

Instead of doing this with a metronome I'm going to trust that you'll spend a little time with this pattern before moving on. There's no rush and the more thorough you are with this stuff, the quicker you'll progress.
