In this tutorial we'll look at some very simple ways to start exploring the concept of alternating bass notes within your finger picking pattern. This is the first baby-step on the long journey into what most people refer to as “Travis Picking”. It inherently has a country sound, which is fun, but if that's not your thing, simply consider it an exercise in right hand independence and overall finger picking technique.
