Description

In this lesson we'll add some more slash chords to our basic progression. Before we used the F/G chord instead of a G7 in order to lead to C. Now let's add one more IV/5, when we go from D to G the first time, and also at the very end of the progression on the last D-chord.

Going from D to G, we'll need the IV-chord of the chord you're ending on. The IV-chord of G is C, so we'll need to play a C-chord with a D in the bass. An easier way to think of it is to just go down a whole step from the V-chord.

Let's grab our C triad up here (show!) and use the open D-string. Doesn't that sound cool!?

I have my 2nd finger in the 5th fret of the G-string, my 3rd fret in the 5th fret of the B-string and finally my 1st finger in the 3rd fret of the high E-string.
