Description
After our second chorus we are going to change up our time signature and tempo. We will be playing in 6/8 time, and at 72 BPM. Our guitar part stays on the back beat throughout the first eight bars repeating the same progression twice before leading into a busier guitar part, which we will look at in our next lesson.
Once we get into our new tempo, we start right in with our new rhythm. During each measure of 6/8 we will play each chord first with the bass note for three beats, and then the upper part of each chord for three beats. You want to make sure to scrape the strings slightly getting into each part. The chord progression is:
|| Emi - Bmi - C - D - Emi - Bmi - C - D ||
You will play this same rhythm and chord progression twice for the first part of our bridge.
