Suspicious Minds

Description

First we are going to learn how to play that signature guitar part that you hear at the top of our song. This sets the pace for the rest of the guitar parts to follow and does a great job of getting us started with our hybrid picking. While the intro is only two bars long, you will be playing this part all throughout the track.

We will be moving between G and C playing each chord for two beats. We will be using our hybrid picking technique right away playing our G chord in root position and the C chord in first inversion (with E in the bass.)

Each verse will start off with this same part and this the main motif of our song, so getting this part down will make the other sections much easier.

You can also play these sections as a single guitar performance by strumming chords instead of playing the hybrid picking. I will go over this in the SINGLE GUITAR PERFORMANCE lesson.
