Description
Guitar 1 is an acoustic guitar that plays the chord progressions with a steady swinging strum. Choosing an acoustic guitar with a bright shimmery tone will cut through the rhythm section better.
Guitars 2&3 are electric guitars equipped with single coil pickups such as a Strat or Tele. The single coil provides that bright, spanky tone perfect for some down home country pickin'.
As far as amps go, any vintage style tube amp such as a Fender Deluxe is a great choice. Set the drive control for a touch of grit and overdrive, but nothing too fuzzy or distorted. We want the tone to be a clean spank with just a hint of juice on it. Add a touch of reverb for some added depth. Check out the settings I used:
Fender Deluxe: Drive: 45% Bass: 45% Mid: 55% Treble: 65% Presence: 60%
