Description
There is another cool sound in "Closer" that was recorded, and is also performed, by screaming into your neck pick up with lots and lots of gain. To emulate that effect, I am going to show you how to play it simply bending some notes on the guitar and using a similar setting. Here are some key points to help you through it:
1. The notes you bend between to recreate this effect are C# and B on the B string (14th and 12th fret.)
2. The part starts with a whole step bend from B to C#, and you slowly release the bend down to B. This helps emulate the vocal sound with the long bends.
3. You will hear this played 3 times in the intro, 3 times played in the first B section, and once in the third B section.
