Strumming in 3!

If you can't make either of the previous strumming patterns work for a song, it might very well be "in 3", a 3/4 time signature. There are many ways to refer to this rhythm, but the basic concept is that instead of counting to 4, you count to 3.

Then depending on the tempo and other factors (for instance,some people count to 6 or 12 instead), but the basic subdivision is still 3! In this lesson I'll show you a basic strumming pattern that works for most grooves in 3.
