Basic 8th Note Strumming Pattern

In this lesson I'm gonna show you a basic 8th note based strumming pattern. This is one of the most common strumming patterns, and getting comfortable with this one will enable you to play hundreds of songs.

The trickiest part about these strumming patterns is to keep your wrist moving over the strings, even when you aren't playing them. But if you can get comfortable with that, everything else will be easy.
