Description
The guitar solo section is very melodic, soulful, and full of interesting motifs. We are soloing over the pre-chorus progression of B minor and F# minor, so note that the motifs here are based in B minor pentatonic and B minor scales.
Of note here are the quintuplet licks (groups of 5) that happen on the 3rd bar of the solo, a somewhat rare choice and it definitely perks the ear up. Notice the variation of the same theme in bars 5 and 6 - played in different spots of the B minor scale, building the tension of the solo. End it off an A major pentatonic lick over the V chord to resolve nicely on the I chord of the last chorus.
Really try to dig into the notes and be as expressive as possible when playing this. Milk all the sustained notes with some nice vibrato try to ease into the track and play all the licks as laid back as you can.
