in addition...

im super overly broke...
havent been doing my assignments...
classes are crap because the people are crap... (i always sit alone because people seem to not know i am friendly altho i try to socialise)

so this leads me to having mood swings... and reluctance of going to skool...
politics and modern society are the subjects thats killing me... its too deeeep...

so this is my rant...

cheers guys

Theyre all in it for the power and wealth and all they ever do is point fingers. Its so depressing and frustrating it makes me sick. So yeah, screw political arguments for good. Ill stay informed, but Im not gonna argue it anymore. Ill let the left think what they want and the right think what they want and Ill think what I want. When November rolls around, Ill cast my vote for what I think and leave it at that.

I guess my biggest beef is people who vote based on their faith... separation of church and state is what made this country so great, and it should stay that way.

Hmmm...if I didn't know better, I's say you were baiting someone into a debate.
On the subject of politics, I had my own discovery. I was sleeping through church today, and got thinking. My sister told me a story yesterday about some of her friends who was insulting my grade school principal on msn to another friend. Anyways, they got in a fight and one of them told the principal what the other girl said. The principal suspended her for 5 days . I know this is random, but is that not the most fascist thing you've ever heard? Freedom of speech my ass!

It may seem strange, but I've always sort of hoped something like that would happen to me. I'm just the kind of person to fight back against an incident like that, then take it too far. Like...Supreme Court. Or the United Nations tribunal.

A healthy disgust of the political system is a call for involvement. You know, although angst and ambivalence (did I spell that right?) are supposed to be 'cool' and all that, if you're not trying to make the system work, then you're just another sheep being led around by the media and their gang of bought and paid for pundits.

Yeah, the two party system DOES NOT work. It's a dog and pony show at best. There is no way that any one party can truly represent your own political beliefs UNLESS you are willing to either a) compromise your beliefs seriously or b) you have no real opinion on the actual issues and let someone else tell you how you feel and should vote.

I've voted Republican, Democratic, Green and Libertarian...but I am a registered Independent. I do some volunteer work with certain candidates if I feel that they are representing at least most of my views and I'll be the first to admit that I will never change politics in the least. But I know that I am out there trying.

You want a government that works for you?

Build one.

I base my political stance on a number of reasons. Religious beliefs are a big influence obviously. Abortion, capital punishment, stem cell research, same sex marriage, the right to bare arms, and all this other garbage. I dont support the welfare system for the most part, there are circumstances that it is necesarry but too many people take advantage of it. High taxes suck. I dont wanna take bs from any other country. Period. I dont care if that makes us bullies or makes me closed minded, dont f around with us and you wont have a problem.

I support the president in most of his decisions he has made in office. Idk wtf his deal is with this new proposal to open the ports. Other than that, I think the man has balls and sticks to his word.

Just stated what my beliefs are based on and that I support the president. I dont want an all out, "point your fingers and call everyone a retard" debate. Those are absolutely pointless. We've heard it all before. Lets not beat a dead horse.

I think if we'd remove politicians' self interest by putting them on minimum wage we'd get a lot more honesty in our government.

My stance on politics is this. Neither side is completely wrong. If that was the case then one side would never get any votes, so they both must have benefits for someone to willingly vote for them. So to stick by one side as though it's flawless all the time is like thinking that the other side is completely wrong. And that's just not the case or else it wouldn't get votes as well. It's all just another big rat race and both sides are butting heads like they think they have all the answers when neither one is really any better than the other. Both have pros and both have cons.

Plato agrees with you, if my memory is correct. It's been a couple years since I read 'Republic'.

You want to be hardcore? Hell, son, give yourself some standards. I mean, yeah you're getting there, but Lamb of God? Sure we've all got things we can improve on, but Lamb of God?
