A healthy disgust of the political system is a call for involvement. You know, although angst and ambivalence (did I spell that right?) are supposed to be 'cool' and all that, if you're not trying to make the system work, then you're just another sheep being led around by the media and their gang of bought and paid for pundits.

Yeah, the two party system DOES NOT work. It's a dog and pony show at best. There is no way that any one party can truly represent your own political beliefs UNLESS you are willing to either a) compromise your beliefs seriously or b) you have no real opinion on the actual issues and let someone else tell you how you feel and should vote.

I've voted Republican, Democratic, Green and Libertarian...but I am a registered Independent. I do some volunteer work with certain candidates if I feel that they are representing at least most of my views and I'll be the first to admit that I will never change politics in the least. But I know that I am out there trying.

You want a government that works for you?

Build one.
