And Acapella, who the f you kidding? Everybody here agrees with you. Im not an indecent person, just not as tolerant as everyone else here.
And it comes down to the business aspect. A lot of the people that choose Spanish can speak English. It's their native language though, so they understand it better. And for some things, like, paying your bills over the phone or whatever, you don't really want to choose a language you don't have a firm grasp on and risk misunderstanding and hitting something wrong, now do you? And the business world comes in that why limit their customer range? If they're only fit for people that speak English, then that's a big group of people you just chunk off. Paying customers. I don't think they're going to knock off a huge chunk of customers because you're inconvenienced by having to push 1 on your phone. For Christ's sake it's 1. The English option is the first option. Just dial your damn number and add an extra 1 on the end of it and it'll skip right over the language selection. Just imagine that you have to dial an 8 digit phone number. You know, there are a lot of people that would give a lot of things to have dialing an extra number on a phone in their list of problems in their lives.
And on the statement to Acapella. No one's saying that they shouldn't at least try and learn the language, but don't act like you've been dealt a bad hand because people have adapted to live with Mexicans rather than living against them. Think about it.
