Yea, but if you're blowin' rails with 'em your in a weird in-between state. You're sleepy but can't fall asleep.

Ahh, never touched the other stuff but that makes sense. I've got a script for Xannies, anxiety problems. They do mix well with other mind altering substances though. :D

My pet peeve is when you have over 150 posts and still no rep points, the thing I wanted most from life.
You go outside and practice screaming. We'll play music while you're gone.

People who don't cut the end of their guitar strings after they are on the guitar

People who drive slow in the fast lane and don't know it. It's different if your Denis Leary and actually are an a**hole, but to the people who don't want to obey the limit...GET OFF THE ROAD!!!
Electric Guitars are the inspiration for cries of "Turn that damn thing down"-Gibson website

That is annoying........

I hate when grocery stores have 20 check out lanes, but only 3 are open with 10 people in line at each one.

yeah, but in ten years of using computers, I can only remember once making a mistake and accidentally erasing something. Even then, I can still go to my backup.
It's like... warning messages for stupid people. At least give me the option of turning the warning off.
Even the PVR I just bought does it.
"Are you sure you want to erase that program?"
Yes!!! I'm sure I want to friggin erase it.. or I wouldn't have pushed the button for gods sake. ... just erase it!!!"

Like, who was the person who made it a law that every action on a computer had to have a reminder warning on it?
Some of us have enough intelligence to know what we're doing ya know.

Second on my list of pet peeves are messages telling me what I've already done... "you have just updated your list of MP3's... press ok to continue"
Arrghhh.... I know I just updated my list of MP3's because that's what I was just doing!!!"

It's like driving a car and turning left and some computer voice keeps saying "you have just made a left hand turn"... or getting into an elevator and pressing the third floor and a voice says "you have just selected the third floor, are you sure that's the floor you want to go to??"

Well, this is the pet peeves thread, so I suppose telling you why would fit in nicely.

It all revolves around the national anthem for me. Every morning at school, they make us stand for the national anthem. I realize it's probably the same way in every school in every country, and it's really not a lot to ask, but it still pisses me off. "True North strong and free," eh? Yeah, it's a free country. Totally. Now STAND UP!!!

This is especially enraging at Remembrance Day services. Yes, a bunch of people died so I can live my life Nazi-free. I get it. And I appreciate it, really I do. I just find a large amount of hypocrisy in the statement "In honour of those who died to make this free country the free country it is today, stand up and be quiet for a set amount of time, or else."

And who said I want to honour this country anyway? I don't understand patriotism very much. A country's a country. I was born here. That's my only real tie with this chunk of land I live on. Why should I be expected to love this country?

I mean, it's not like I hate living here. Living here is all I've ever known, and there are definitely worse places to live, from what I hear. I just think all countries have their flaws, Canada among them. Why make it out to be so great?

Standing up takes no effort for me. It's not like I'm 500 pounds, which would be a better reason for my complaining. I'd just much rather not do it. I always ask authority figures why we must stand at silence during these services and during the national anthem. They usually respond with "It's the least you can do." Wrong. In any given instance, the least I can do is nothing. I'd rather honour the spirit of freedom by doing nothing. Doing what I'm forced to do makes me dislike my country.

Anyhow, that's why.

ok...well I did ask.
I don't really think you understand what it is to live in this country.
I understand what you mean, don't really agree, but hey, it's you're opinion, and since this is a free country, you get one.

In England we had to listen to 'God Save the Queen', then say the Lords Prayer every morning. Then when we moved here & I had to listen to both of those plus Oh Canada... half in English and half in French.
I always rebelled against that stuff too. I never closed my eyes during the lords prayer and always said the wrong words.. "Our Father who farts in heaven..."
