Which is not a Polychord at all, it is however an Extended chord that contains an altered 9th(aug 9).
It can function as V7.

So, it is not a flatted 3rd nor an aug2. It is an aug9.

It cant be a dominate 7th because the 7th in his chord is major and in dominate 7 its minor.

It's a polychord, A polychord being two chords stacked together to create a unigue new chord. Generally used in larger ensembles.

Here's the notes.

A, C#, E, G#, B#.

You got C#m/maj7 in there: C#, E, G#, B#.

...and

an A major chord: A C# and E.

Polychord: C#m/maj7/A.

That's just one example, the important thing would be how this chord would be voiced.

I never said it was a Dominant 7 chord.
What I said was...it can function as V7.

trying to correct u?? hold on a second why u getting hostile? maybe they didnt know different .. u seem to know lots of theory thats fine but please dont come across like he who knows all!!

That statement right there comes off as having a bad/cocky/arrogant attitude. You might not have meant it that way, but in plain text like it is here, that how most people would take it, especially the person you were talking to. The way I've seen it, the only time anybody has ever called you out on anything has been when you've deserved it, because of statements like the above. If you're going to continue to have an arrogant attitude, then I suggest you be prepared for other members to call you on it.

I promise I'm not trying to be an ass in any way. All I'm saying is, try to think about how the other person will take what you're saying before you actually say it. We have people here who don't speak very good English, so it's very easy for them to take things the wrong way. We also have very young members who might not be mature enough to shrug a comment like that off. So, just think about what you're saying, and how the other person might take it.

You are right. I did not mean it in an offensive way.
And yes, I am one of those persons, who do not speak good English, and maybe that is why it sounds arrogant the way I write, and respond to people.
But you cannot accuse me of using bad words against anybody.
I could argue about why you guys are taking things personal, but it is not worth it.
