Say, If one of you guy's know something more about the Vox VR30R ( maybe I'm gonna buy it) please give me some information or opinion. Are they worth it or not?

I did a bunch of looking around. I had narrowed it down to the Vox or the Line 6. The Vox sounded a bit warmer then the Line 6. I believe they have similar modeling modes. The Vox has a tube, and also that cool tapping button deal. I don't have it yet so I can't speak first hand, but I played both at the store and I definitely liked the Vox better.
Can't wait for Christmas morning till I get it!!!

If, during the course of your search, you come across a VOX SUPER BEATLE, please send it to me. I want one BAD.

But, does it has enough blls? :D
my last amp cracked out, and I do have an ENGL amp with simular tubes as the VOX has, but wil it last high-gain settings?

gues what, before New-Years-day I'm allowed to buy a new amp, I'm thinking about that Vox.
But I heared a Fender FM series about the same price, and even that sounds not bad.
Which one is good enough for high-gain settings?
Any suggestions?

dude, I had a fender FM212R for a while... it's a loud mother ****er!!! seriously, way too loud for playing at home in your room. plus, the clean channel was excellent, the drive channel wasn't superb... so if you are playing mostly high gain, I'd look elsewhere.

Which ENGL amp do you have? If it doesn't have quite enough gain for you, why don't you look into an overdrive pedal to push the gain channel a bit more. Something like an MXR ZW-44, Ibanez Tubescreamer, Boss SD-1, or DigiTech Bad Monkey. I use the MXR in front of a Peavey Classic 50's overdrive channel, and I can get some mean and nasty high gain tones out of it. It sure would be a lot cheaper than a new amp.

well that's the point, I have an ENGL Screamer 50 combo and an BOSS METAL-ZONE. with most of the amps I put that Metal-thing on it goes mad. They just can't keep up with the gain boosted in their a...... :D
But my ENGL doesn't, but my Home-amp does. that is why it's broken down. To much gain and a to high volume-level. So I'm looking for an amp with the same sound only smaller and cheaper. The Vox has the same tube in it, so I hope it'll sound the same. and that it stays good under high-gain settings. My ENGL is just to big and heavy to put in my tiny room.

you put your metal zone on the clean on dirty channel? cause if it's the dirty channel, then why do you need that much gain?
also, just because two amps have the same tube doesn't mean they'll sound the same. in fact, a majority of amps out there use 12AX7's for their pre-amp tubes, and the differences between them can be night and day.

yes, I don't use my metal-zone on a dirty channel. it warns for that. but I also like to use that new-amp on stage, well for practising with my band. so I do need an amp that has enough power and Watt's. most of the time, when you have an amp with a good clean sound, you can put every pedal on it. I have seen guy's with the best pedals of the world and still don't have a good sound because of their amp. That is what I hope to find in the Vox VR30R or maybe the Fender FM65R.
I guess I'll have to wait for Christmas....

O but it is. With Christmas, I'll be in Sweden, so the changes I will buy a new amp will be onlikely...
yeah, I know, it's getting complicated. But next year (2006) I hope to finally torment my neighbours with some pretty heavy and LOUD shred-work.
