you put your metal zone on the clean on dirty channel? cause if it's the dirty channel, then why do you need that much gain?

also, just because two amps have the same tube doesn't mean they'll sound the same. in fact, a majority of amps out there use 12AX7's for their pre-amp tubes, and the differences between them can be night and day.
