I don't know if I'm the first to say anything, I've not read all the threads here, but where've you been? I don't really know what to say other than prior to today I've, on an occasion, remembered about how I wasn't always the only one into death metal here.

well,I haven't heard much, as I've been too poor my whole life to buy many cds. now that I have a job I plan on buying some in the future, after I finish filling my pedalboard that is. so the death metal that I have heard has been on my yahoo radio thing... lol. what are you feelings on cradle of filth? I like them actually, the singer has this unique high pitched squeal that he does every now and then... it sounds so awesome. plus I love how a lot of it uses scary ocherstra type sounds.

I used to listen to them... then I discovered real metal.

You need a healthy dose of...

Necrophagist HERE

And if you like cof then how bout some cob(children of bodom),immortal,wintersun,kalmah...well thats more of a black metal thing.

Martyr
Dying fetus
Spawn of possession
Symbiosis
exhumed
Arsis(though,I hate the guys use of vibrato)
decapitated
capharnaum(hardcore-ish)
nile

and thats enough for now..

well, out of the ones you listed, the only ones I have heard of was children of bodom... I'm surprised actually, perhaps what I'm listening to is just plain old metal, not death metal... I've been listening to stuff like:

Probot
100 Demons
lamb of god
meshuggah
arch enemy
opeth
pig destroyer
burnt by the sun
Rob zombie
Lacuna coil
etc.

I went to that website though and listened to a song by necrophagist, and I liked it, so, yes I do like death metal as well, I'm definately going to look into the bands you listed.

Heres a link to my favorite Symphony X song at the moment

the accolade

Just love the melodies.check out the song sins and shadows too(I need some time to set aside for learning that solo).I also have to say I think russel allen's vocals are simply some of the best.

Recent listening and concert experiences have included... of death metal anyway

Vomitory
Exhumed
Hypocrisy
Cryptic
Nile
Death
Morbid Angel
Carcass
Decapitated
Cryptopsy
Severe Torture
Suffocation

And a bunch of others that escape me at the moment. By that list, I ask that you don't make the assumption that that's all I listen to. It's just where a lot of my listening goes to. There's plenty of other types of music (metal and non-metal) that I do enjoy. I just find the most joy out of death metal.

I think Webster (from the TV show Webster) is secretly a very angry man inside...he is short and cute and cuddly looking yet I think he harbors deep heartfelt resentments and could be very dangerous.
I thought my name was dammit til I was 18 years old...
