Description
Our second verse changes up the chord progression, keeping the story of the lyrics going as we make way for our chorus. This is the only time you will this chord progression in the song, but we do have some familiar chord changes to help along the way.
The chord progression for the second verse is:
|| D - A Bmi - Emi7 F#mi7 - Bmi A - G - A G/B A/C# - D - G/D D A ||
The first four measure keep in the same spirit as our first verse, with the second bar from A to B min being similar to our intro and main motif. We then follow that with a chord progression that leads us into our Bmin, moving from Emin7 to F#min7 and resolving to Bmin. We then end the first four bars by playing A on beat 4.
We then start on G and play the next four bars, playing another series of moving slash chords into our last motif which we played in our first verse. These hits however do vary in this verse, moving from G/D to D and then A.
