Description
The best place to start when it comes to developing your own guitar sound is to fully explore the gear you have. Most of the famous "unique" guitar tones came from creative use of whatever the player just happened to have around. Some classic players made their own amps, some happened to have an out-of-phase pickup that ended up being a signature sound, some played through bass amps, and so on. So mess around with your gear until you find some tones and sounds that inspire you!
I'll be using a very basic tone coming from my Gibson 335 running through a modeled Marshall amp with a pretty overdriven tone dialed. Nothing fancy there!
