Description

The electric guitar introduces some cool extended chords into the choruses. You start off with a C triad in 8th position, but then highlight the F and G chords with F6 and G6 triads to give a cool, islandy flavor to the track. Note how the F6 is strummed right on the beat, but the G6 is strummed an eight note earlier ("pushed", or "anticipated").

The last chorus repeats through the fadeout, and the guitar starts jamming on some different ideas. The first one is some cool syncopated strumming with a G octave, and the next one is adding a bluesy flavor to the main chorus part.
