Description

All the artists that became famous for this sound played all kinds of different guitars, so you don't need any specific guitar to play this style. The right tone comes more from the attitude you play with than what gear you use, and we'll come back to all that throughout the tutorial.

I'll be using a Les Paul and I'll be running it through a modeled Marshall Plexi Amp with the volume cranked so it really distorts. I won't be using any reverb, since this aggressive style of blues rock doesn't really need it. It's not wrong to use it, but I personally prefer not to add it if it isn't needed. This is bare bones, gritty rock tone!
