Description

In this chapter we've explored and practiced a ton of useful rock rhythm guitar chops. And although many guitar players tend to focus more on lead playing in the beginning, the reality is that you'll be playing rhythm guitar 90% of the time. So spending the time to really get in there and work on your rhythm chops will pay off immensely! Because a solid rhythmic feel will do more for both your rhythm and lead playing than you can probably imagine.

Many guitar players develop their rhythmic feel by playing hundreds of gigs and jamming with other musicians, but in this tutorial I'll show you how you can work on this at home. We'll do this by combining parts of the rhythm guitar material we've covered in throughout this chapter with some effective metronome exercises.

These kinds of exercises may seem non-musical and boring, but they are ultimately going to make everything you play sound better. So roll up your sleeves and let's get to work!
