Description

In this lesson let's briefly review the technique and theory behind the E shaped barre chords and then immediately after we'll use them in a rockin' example with a backing track.

You start with your open E major chord. Then you change your fingering so you use your 2nd, 3rd, and 4th finger, so that you can add the first finger "capo" when you move the E major shape up the neck.

The E minor shape is similar, you just play the minor third in the chord instead of the major 3rd.

Remember that it's harder to play barre chords closer to the headstock and easier towards the 12th fret.
