Description

This is the basically the same as the previous lesson, but here we're making a bar with the index finger on the E,and B string. The other difference here is, that your ending note in the first two positions is now on the 3rd (G) string.

Again these are all whole step bends on the B string, and they're all in the key of C. In all of these positions, we're bending the 2nd note of the scale up to the 3rd note.

Again the first position is in the 3rd fret, and after releasing the bend go to the 5th fret on the G string. Do the same for the position in the 8th fret, but end in the 10th fret on the G string. For the position in the 10th fret, after releasing the bend move the bar back to the 8th fret. After releasing the bend here, go back to the first position in the 3rd fret.

Practice both combinations in each of these positions too. You can also try the sample combinations, and be sure to try it out of the key of D.

These bends cover the 1, 4, 5 in the key of C, and these same combinations can be used in other keys too. I have a tutorial on String Bending that may be useful to you, it covers 16 positions for whole step bends on the 2nd string. These can all be used with a B bender, just put your bar in the same fret where the fingers are.
