String Bending

Description

This position works with an E chord, and you're bending the 2nd string up a whole step in this one too.

Put your ring finger in the 7th fret on the 2nd string, and your middle finger in the 6th fret. Use your index finger to block the other strings, and you can also put your pinky in the 7th fret on the 1st string. Bend the 2nd string in the 7th fret, from the F# note to sound like the G# note in the 9th fret.

The note in the 7th fret on the 2nd string is an F# note, which is the 2nd note in the E major scale. Here you're bending the 2nd note up to the 3rd note in the scale, which in this case is a G#.
You can do this with a pick, or with your fingers.

Play the 2nd string with a pick, or your fingers, and then bend it. Release the bend, but don't play the string again until you go back to the E note in the 5th fret.
