well i'm only in the practicing stage cause i cant really do all the things i want to do at incredible speeds. But heres about what i go on.

30 min - reading music
30 min - scales (different modes included + sequences & chromatics)
15 min - arpeggios + sweep picking
10 min - improv to recorded progressions that i made
10 min - tricks in general

Ending = free fun time to practice/play anything

any suggestions...?

And how bout yours?

Plus..the above is all i have time for before i go to sleep...i''m a pretty busy guy. If you think something would be more effective please tell me.

why dont u incorperate appregros and sweep picking with everything? Unless it becomes unefficent? Is it not benefitial to do that?

I split my practice in 2 days wich I repeat whole time. Here´s how it looks:

Day 1:
Sweeping (1h)
Advanced 16-note pickin´ (scales/sequences) (1h)
3 Notes per string (scales/sequences) (1h)
Leraning new stuff & repeating old stuff

Day 2:
Arpegios (a la crossroad arps) (1h)
String Skipping (Much much Gilbert influenced licks) (1h)
Chromatic scales and playn´ some advanced (Dream Theater(Malmsteen/Gilbert/Vai...) solos 1(h) somtimes more.
Learning new stuff % repeating old.

It may look boring and monoton but one day does do the trick for me. And it usualy end up with 4h guitarplay evryday.

Man I wish I could give you an answer but it´s hard ´cause it´s stuff I colected over the 2-3 years. Some of it I don´t even remember where I got it from but here are a few srating tips:

Get Yngwies Play It Load 2 for sweeping.

Get Petruccis Rock Discipline for alternate pickin´ and legato.

Get Paul Gilberts Intense Rock (you don´t need the video for this one ´cause you can find all excercises on the net) for some more alternate pickin´ licks, 3-note per string scales and string skipping.

And look up for some licks on this site and choose the ones you like most. It can take a little time but it´s worth. Also go to http://www.mysongbook.com You can find lot of cool excercises.

Guitar world have asection called lessons wich are divided by artists. Look through some of your fav. (there are plenty) and go for those licks (again there are plenty).

And at the end just surf on guitar pages and you´ll find lots of stuff more than you our I can imagine.

And most important of all, learn some hard solos (Petrucci, Gilbert, Malmsteen, Vai, Satch...) and play them over and over again. Also take out diffcult passages and make them like an excercise lick.

Also come up with your own.

Thank you very much for the suggestions...I'll be sure to look into buying them.

I assume you can buy all those videos off amazon or some site.

Thank you so much again.
