Hey guys! I was bored so I decided to get a backing track together so we can have some fun with it. It's nothing hard at all. So those of you with Recording abilities get working on this.

Have fun with it guys! It is in G minor so you can use G minor Pentatonic or G minor scales and thier reletives. I'll post up something myself soon. I'm all recorded out for right now.

This is the result of my attempt at your track ninja. I'm not much of a lead player as we all know. I'm super tired and my expression level is super low. In retrospect I should have used more pulls offs and hammer ons to spice it up a bit but I just can't go on and must retire for the evening. I had to post it though 'cause I'm tearing down my setup tomorrow so I can start packing for the big move. For those of you who aren't aware, I'm moving back to Houston. Maybe me and R. Shackleford will meet up and make more GT history! Whoo Hoooooo!!!!!!! Anyway, here's the link.

Sounds cool. I've never posted anything on the Listening Post before, but this seems like a good opportunity. Problem: I don't actually have any proper recording equipment, only a digital video camera that has quite decent sound quality. Would it be okay if I used that to record? (I promise not to include my face)

Well, as it turns out, my digital video camera ran of battery. Then I remembered that my mp3 player had a recording function, so I used that. However... when I was converting the file from .WAV to .MP3, my friggin' computer crashed thirty seconds in! You can click on the link in my signature to listen to the first thirty seconds of the file at Purevolume (GT Rock Jam); if you want to hear the whole thing, give me a hoot and I'll send it to you via Yousendit.
It's mostly improvised.

Sorry about the sound quality... :o :o

Oh, and Magicninja, I was going to add "featuring Magicninja" to the song title, but I forgot! Sorry about that - I understand if it's not okay for me to post it on the net without acknowledging you... :o

Thanks for listening, mates! Yeah, sorry about the sound quality - glad you liked the vinyl effect, z0s0.

I managed to convert the full version into an .mp3 file, and I'm uploading it as we speak. You may notice some pretty big mistakes in the second half - I hit a bum note at one point, and screw up a little on the improvised tapping lick.

OK here's my track which didn't come out quite like I anticipated. I used my Harmony Strat instead of my LP. So I could use the whammy bar, which it is evident I can't use so from now on leads will be played on Betsy. The part I like the most is at that little break. Well here ya go and the rest of you better get hoppin'.
